Terms
Reading this site means accepting the position stated here: it is an independent information publication, and it does not decide whether any particular product is safe or compliant.
Information, not a promise
Guides explain product safety duties and the evidence behind them in general terms. They are general information, not consultancy, not a test report and not a guarantee that any product complies. Compliance depends on the product, its design, its testing and its market; a step that suits one product may not suit another, which is why every guide teaches the file alongside the duty.
Accuracy and dates
Every guide carries the date its evidence was last checked. Law is revised and official guidance changes; a guide is a dated snapshot of a checked position, and its checking date tells you how current the snapshot claims to be. Figures quoted from official sources belong to their publishers and are attributed. We correct errors openly on the corrections page.
Reuse
Short quotations with a link back are welcome. Republishing whole guides is not permitted without written permission.
